Can someone tell me about the history of Knight Pianos?

I have a Knight Piano, and I am writing a speech about it for English. Could someone give me some information of the history behind Knight Pianos?

You won't often see a Knight piano here in the states, although I have. They were built in England and had a decent reputation. Established in 1936 (or 1934 depending on your source), the firm changed hands several times. Begun by Alfred Knight, the company was sold to Bentley Piano Company Ltd, then later to Whelpdale, Maxwell and Codd Ltd. but that company was liquidated in 2003. Serial numbers range from 1001 in 1936 to 73334 in March 2003.
