what's the best oboe brand for professional oboe?
i want to buy a professional oboe some day. but i kinda confuse which oboe brand i want to buy.
my budget is about $5000-$7000.
i want a darker sound rather than bright. i want my oboe to be able to penetrate the sound of full-orchestra. which brand is the best? (and type, if possible)

I'm a college oboe major and I got the best one out there. I play a foxx conservatory oboe, had it handmade in Indiana. It's wooden, left hand F, 3rd octave key, F# ledge, C to C# trill, Ab to Bb trill... I payed about 5,700 in 2005 for it. I have NEVER had an issue with it and I not only play the oboe for a career, but am in many prof and college groups. Take it into consideration
