Learn more about synthesizers, please help.?

So I want to learn everything I can about the synthesis. I wonder where I can find more information on ringtones, granules, analog synthesizer, etc. .. Is it really necessary to go to school to learn the basics of words such as: speed, OSC A and B, breast, Mod A and B, Octave, Semi and much more!? I really want to understand all these terminalogies explore and create different sounds. Do you know any good sources on the web that teach you all these things? Or perhaps some books? I would appreciate your help! It is a very good start! Thank you.
